A new convenient route to phosphate monoesters from alcohols has been developed. H- Phosphonate monoesters, which are readily accessible by phosphonylation of the parent alcohols, were oxidized with t-BuOOH or N-sulfonyloxaziridines under anhydrous conditions via the corresponding bis (trimethylsilyl) phosphites.
