Abstract Triphenylphosphine dichloride reacts with (Me 3 Si) 2 C NN, Me 3 SiN C NSiMe 3, and metal-coordinated CN N (SiMe 3) 2 to give the iminophosphoranes CN NPPh 3, NC NPPh 3, and W (CO) 5 CN NPPh 3, respectively, and with free bis (trimethylsilyl) isocyanamine to give a dicationic species containing a tetrazole ring with triphenylphosphonio and bis (triphenylphosphonio) methylide substituents.
