In Vitro Palatinose 能够特异性被变形链球菌的 a、d、g 型血清菌株利用发酵,但不会被 b、c、e 或 f 的菌株发酵[1]。
In Vivo Palatinose (喂食浓度为 56%) 不会引起感染变形链球菌 6715 大鼠出现明显龋齿,但喂食蔗糖会。如果用 Palatinose 代替蔗糖,则导致大鼠的龋齿发展减少[1]。
