用于有机合成,也是制造香料的原料
【用途二】
GB 2760一96规定为允许使用的食用香料。主要用于配制香蕉、焦糖和其他水果型香精。
【用途三】
丁醛是重要的中间体。由正丁醛加氢可制取正丁醇;缩合脱水然后加氢可制取2-乙基己醇,而正丁醇和2-乙基己醇是增塑剂的主要原料。正丁醛氧化可制取正丁酸;与甲醛缩合能制取三羟甲基丙烷,是合成醇酸树脂的增塑剂和空气干燥油的原料;与苯酚缩合制取油溶性树脂;与尿素缩合可制取醇溶性树脂;与聚乙烯醇、丁胺、硫脲、二苯基胍或硫化氨基甲酸甲酯等缩合的产品是制取层压安全玻璃的原料和胶粘剂,与各种醇类的缩合物作赛璐珞、树脂、橡胶和医药产品的溶剂;医药工业用于制“眠尔通”、“乙胺嘧啶”、氨甲丙二酯等。
【用途四】
橡皮胶合剂,橡胶促进剂,合成树酯、制造丁酸等,其己烷溶液是测定臭氧的试剂。用作脂类的溶剂,也用于香精、香料的制备和作防腐剂等。

1.丙烯羰基合成法 该法又分高压法和低压法,所用原料都是丙烯、一氧化碳和氢气,惟前者用羰基钴为催化剂,在140~180℃、19.6~34.3MPa下反应,消耗大、成本高;后者以羰基铑膦络合物为催化剂,在90~120℃、1.96MPa下反应,消耗低,收率高(98%)。
2.乙醛缩合法 其反应式如下:
3.丁醇氧化脱氢法 以银为催化剂,由丁醇经空气一步氧化,再反应物冷凝、分离、精馏而得成品。
4.制法:
于装有分馏装置(接受瓶用冰水浴冷却)、滴液漏斗(底部伸入瓶底)的反应瓶中,加入正丁醇(2)41g(0.55mol)和几粒沸石,加热至沸。滴加由重铬酸钾56g(0.188mol)、300mL水和40mL浓硫酸配成的溶液,约20min加完。保持反应体系沸腾,分馏柱顶温度不超过85℃,当氧化剂全部加完后,继续反应15min,收集90℃以下的馏分。从镏出液中分出水,无水硫酸钠干燥,分馏,收集73~76℃的馏分,得正丁醛(1)13g,收率32%。
