2-Mercaptopyridine N-oxide sodium 具有杀菌 (bactericidal) 作用,对标准结核分枝杆菌 H37Rv (ATCC 27294) 的 MIC90 为 7.20 μM。2-Mercaptopyridine N-oxide sodium 及其与铁,镓和铋的络合物具有良好的抗结核分枝杆菌活性。2-Mercaptopyridine N-oxide sodium 具有用于肺结核的潜力。
