摘要

The latter two methods have the unfavorable condition that 2, 3-disubst, ituted naphthoquinones are formed as byproducts. However, these side products can usually be suppressed by careful regulation of the reaction conditions. We have found the method of Jacobsen to be the method of choice (Tables I and I1 list the quinones prepared).
