Manumycin A is an antibiotic. Manumycin A acts as a selective, competitive inhibitor of protein farnesyltransferase (FTase) with respect to farnesylpyrophosphate (Ki =1.2 μM), and as a noncompetitive inhibitor with respect to the Ras protein.
