α-Carotene 是维生素 A 的前体,用作抗转移剂或用作抗癌药的佐剂。α-Carotene 是从橙黄色和深绿色蔬菜中分离出来的。

[体外研究]

α-胡萝卜素(0.5-2.5μM；24小时)以浓度依赖的方式显著增加LLC细胞TIMP-1和TIMP-2的蛋白表达。AC(0.5-2.5μM)显著增加PAI-1蛋白表达。α-胡萝卜素(2.5μM)也显著抑制整合素β1介导的粘着斑激酶(FAK)磷酸化,进而降低MAPK家族的磷酸化[2]。α-胡萝卜素(0.5,1,2.5μM；48小时)显著且浓度依赖性地抑制LLC在培养48小时内的侵袭[2]。α-胡萝卜素(0.5,1,2.5μM；24小时)显著降低LLC细胞MMP-9、-2和uPA的活性,且呈浓度依赖性[2]。α-胡萝卜素(2,5,10μM；7d)对人神经母细胞瘤细胞系GOTO增殖的抑制作用呈剂量和时间依赖性。α-胡萝卜素(5μM；48小时)在G0/G1期终止细胞周期,同时降低原癌基因N-Myc的mRNA表达[3]。Western Blot分析[2]细胞系：Lewis肺癌(LLC)细胞浓度：0.5,1,2.5μM孵育时间：24小时结果：LLC细胞TIMP-1和TIMP-2蛋白表达明显增加,且呈浓度依赖性。

[体内研究]

α-胡萝卜素(5 mg/kg；口服；每周两次；额外3周)可显著降低肺转移,而不影响原发性肿瘤的生长[2]。动物模型：C57BL/6雄性小鼠(4周龄,20-25g),LLC细胞[2]剂量：5mg/kg,口服,每周2次,连续3周,结果：肺转移明显减少。
