【用途一】
用作硝化纤维和乙酸纤维的溶剂,也用于香料工业
【用途二】
乳酸乙酯是我国规定允许使用的食用香料,常用于调制果香型、乳酸型食用和酒用香精。用量按正常生产需要,一般在酒类饮料中1000mg/kg、口香糖中580-3100 mg/kg、烘烤食品中71 mg/kg、糖果中28 mg/kg、冷饮中17 mg/kg。
【用途三】
GB 2760—96规定为允许使用的食用香料。载体溶剂。作为香料主要用于配制朗姆酒、牛奶、奶油、葡萄、果酒、椰子等型香精。
【用途四】
硝化纤维及乙酸纤维溶剂。有机合成。食品添加剂。

乳酸乙酯制备

1.金属卤物催化法。用金属卤化物代替浓硫酸催化合成乳酸乙酯,收率65%-71%。

2.稀土化合物催化法。将乙醇0.22-0.33mol、乳酸0.11mol,带水剂25mL和稀土化合物(与酸的摩尔比为1:100)加入烧瓶,回流反应2.5-3h,反应液蒸去过量的乙醇、带水剂和未反应的乳酸后减压蒸馏,收集产品,产率74%-79%。

3.硫酸催化法。在硫酸催化下乳酸与过量的乙醇酯化而得乳酸乙酯;也可在四氯化碳中加热会流脱水24h,常压蒸馏回收过量的乙醇,再减压蒸馏出成品。

4.固体酸催化法。NaY分子筛经水洗,干燥、高温灼烧,再用一定浓度NH4Cl溶液搅拌浸渍,进行离子交换,将NH4Y过滤、洗涤、干燥,550℃高温活化,即得固体酸HY。然后将乳酸、乙醇、苯、HY加入反应瓶,HY/乳酸(质量比)=25/100,乳酸/乙醇(摩尔比)=1/3。在100-160℃下回流分水反应8-10h,酯化率60%以上。

5.蒸馏酯化法。将225g80%的乳酸、475Ml(380g)95%的乙醇、100mL苯、2 mL浓硫酸和少许沸石加入分水蒸馏装置的烧瓶(1000 mL)中。加入反应液至沸,蒸汽(乙醇、苯和水)经蒸馏柱后进入冷凝器,分出水层后回流至蒸馏柱,柱顶温度稳定在64.9℃。当分出水层240g(其中含乙醇119g、水99g、苯22g)后,基本无水分出,柱顶温度升至68℃时,酯化结束。反应液冷却后加入6g无水醋酸钠中和硫酸,进行减压蒸馏。先全回流1h,然后在2.45Kpa的真空度下,控制回流比不小于5,柱顶温度58℃,蒸馏无色清亮的乳酸乙酯226g,收率96%。

6.由乳酸与过量的乙醇在催化剂作用下酯化,经精制而得。
