 Use of Ataciguat sodium

Ataciguat (HMR-1766) is a potent, specific soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) activator with EC50 of 0.51 uM, preferentially activates the NO-insensitive heme-oxidized form of sGC; increases cGMP levels in cultured rat aortic smooth muscle cells; induces vasorelaxation of isolated endothelium-denuded rat aorta, porcine coronary arteries, and human corpus cavernosum with EC50 of 1-10 uM; decreases arterial blood pressure in anesthetized pigs. Heart Failure Phase 2 Clinical
