In Vitro Antimalarial agent 14 (Compound N3) (0-400 μM, 48 h) inhibits P. falciparum with limited cytotoxicity against human cells[1]. Antimalarial agent 14 inhibits P. falciparum mitochondrial membrane potential with an IC50ΔΨmit of 16 μM[1]. Cell Cytotoxicity Assay[1] Cell Line: P. falciparum and HEK293T Concentration: 0.128, 0.64, 3.2, 16, 80 and 400 μM Incubation Time: 48 h Result: Showed inhibition with an IC50 of 443 nM against P. falciparum and showed cytotoxicity with a CC50 of 54.6 ± 0.23 μM.
