Metal oxide

Metal oxides, particularly metal oxides having semiconducting properties, are effective catalysts for oxidation-reduction reactions. Industrial catalysts typically contain more than one metal oxide component, referred to as a composite metal oxide catalyst. In general, at least one of them is a transition metal oxide, and molecular-level mixing is formed between the components, and interaction occurs to adjust the electrical properties and surface acidity of the catalyst, and to improve catalytic activity and selectivity.
